Volunteers benefit by doing the Lord's work in
sharing knowledge and experience with
others who are less fortunate

Benefits may include gaining experience in your field, which you might not be able to acquire otherwise. A new understanding of people and culture in a developing country. Sharing in a team experience.

Volunteer skills needed: teaching, management, computer, medical, nursing, academic and other skills.

Timing and duration of commitment: Volunteers will normally travel as a team. Commitments will be from three to twelve weeks.

Costs: Volunteers for Uganda are required to pay for their own travel and their accommodation while in Africa. Cost of travel and accommodation may be eligible for a tax receipt.

Accommodation: ICMI will assist in arranging accommodation for volunteers

Clothing: Uganda is on the Equator. Volunteers will require lightweight clothing, including skirts and blouses for women and trousers for men. Shorts for men and women and slacks for women are not advisable. A hat is a necessity.

Travel Advisories: It is recommended that travel shall not be made to countries classified as "High Risk" by Foreign Affairs & International Trade Canada
