ICMI - Privacy Policy Statement
BackgroundProvincial privacy legislation, the provincial Information Act (PIPA), came into effect on January 01, 2004. The legislation applies to B.C. based organizations collecting personal information and includes charities such as ICMI. This Act sets out how the personal information provided to ICMI may be collected, archived used and disposed of, and ensures that the procedures used are transparent. For example ICMI must have a Privacy Policy Statement that stipulates how personal information shall be managed.

ICMI respects the privacy of our supporters and adheres to the BC Personal Information Protection Act. The personal information we collect
is used to deliver information to supporters on ICMI activities in Uganda including funding needs and volunteer opportunities. The provision of personal information to ICMI is taken
as consent to archive that information for the purposes stated. This personal information is not made available to third parties. Any queries regarding the privacy of a supporter’s
own personal information can be directed to the ICMI Membership Chair, Bob Lake (250 652-3358).
