Normally you would be receiving a “President’s Report” for our 2011 AGM. I regret that our President, Lorene Freeman, is ill so I, as Vice-President, have taken on that duty.
ICMI’s considerable success over the past several years reflects the continuing support of you, the ICMI membership, those who volunteer to travel to Uganda to work with our colleagues and students there and those who have faithfully served on the ICMI Board over the years. We also recognize the essential contribution of our Ugandan colleagues. Among the events that stand out during the past year have been the ongoing construction of the ICMI residential building on the campus of the Ugandan Christian University and the contributions that Canadians, including many students, have made while working with ICMI in Uganda. For this we are sincerely grateful. I commend the various ICMI reports to you to obtain more detailed information.
While we are grateful for the contributions that have
been made in support of ICMI we are also very aware that we
are supported by your prayers and that the work of ICMI is done in His name. To borrow from an earlier AGM report by Lorene, “May this AGM be more than informative and interactive but a meeting that deepens our commitment to God’s work in Uganda ”
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass.
Respectfully
Bob Lake
