From Inception.....
- Established a diploma course in health administration
- Established a degree course in health administration
- Trained 1200 health workers at the diploma level since 1993
- Trained 200 health workers at the degree level
- Established a 4000 volume medical and management library
- Established a 24 station computer laboratory
- Recruited a Ugandan doctor as full-time Programme Coordinator
- Provided continuing medical and nursing education for over 850 Ugandan doctors and nurses
- Established a computer training programme for health providers
- Trained 10 Ugandan graduates as teachers in the Health Administration programme
- Recruited 65 Canadian volunteers to assist in the programme
Achievements during the past year.....
- Graduated 75 students with Diplomas in Health Administration
- Graduated 25 students with Degrees in Health Administration
- Enrolled 100 new Diploma students in the programme
- Enrolled 45 new Degree students in the programme
- Four Canadian faculty members volunteered to teach with ICMI in Uganda
- Three Canadian students volunteered to assist with teaching in Uganda
- Contributed 45 new textbooks for the programme
- Purchased a back-up power supply for the computer lab.
- Installed internet in the ICMI building
- Contributed towards an air conditioning system for the computer lab.
